DAY 01 : ARRIVE AT RAIPUR - KAWARDHA |
The Guests will arrive at Raipur Air Port and transfer to Kawardha Palace. welcome lunch at the Palace. They will enjoy the evening party at the palace before watching the Sun set at Bharomodeo Temple. |
DAY 02 : IN AND AROUND KAWARDHA |
The Guests will visit some tribal villages, Pottery villages and also Gond and Baiga primitive tribe with picnic lunch. Overnight |
DAY 03 : ON TO BARNWAPARA ENROUTE VISIT SIRIPUR BUDDHIST SITE |
After breakfast proceed to Siripur to visit Buddhist site and ancient Laxmana Temple. Then arrive at Barnwapara Sanctuary. Check into the forest lodge. Overnight. |
DAY 04 : AROUND THE SANCTUARY |
Game drive inside the park. Overnight |
DAY 05 : ON TO KANKER |
After breakfast the Guests will start for Kanker Palace. Enroute visit Rajim and Lunch at Village Farm house of the Royal Family. Also visit the Village for rural cottage industries. Later proceed to the Palace and they will be received at Kanker Palace with a traditional welcome. Once refreshed, the Guests will be entertained by Chhattisgarhi folk musicians over beverages and pre-dinner snacks. Members of the Royal family will join them to share their insights into the life of the region. |
DAY 06 : EXCURSION TO MURIA TRIBE |
After breakfast the Guests will visit a village of the Deer-Horn Muria tribe and get a glimpse of the Gotul System. Here one could enjoy the wonderful village food with some local toddy. |
DAY 07 : ON TO JAGDALPUR |
After breakfast the Guests will leave for Jagdalpur, the largest town and nerve center of Bastar. Lunch would be packed and can be had in our secret spot in the jungle. Though the three hour long journey will itself be a treasure-trove of vignettes from tribal life, the Guests will make a short detour midway to visit the tribal craft communities of Kondagaon. (Bell Metal, Wrought Iron and Terracotta). Boarding and lodging at Jagdalpur will be arranged at the Bastar Jungle Resort. |
DAY 08 : IN AND AROUND BASTAR |
Our Guests would start exploring this tribal land by visiting the famous Bison-Horn Maria tribe known for its weaving, dance and hospitality. Later they could visit the rich forest of Kanger Valley National Park and its attractions (which include the Kailash caves or gushing cataracts of Tirathgarh). On their way back one could catch a glimpse of a weekly haat. (depending on the time). |
DAY 09 : EXCURSION TO TRIBAL HAAT |
On this day the Guests could opt for a remote and un-spoilt tribal haat . The Guests could spend the first half of the day exploring the head quarter of Bastar, Jagdalpur,, one of India’s largest erstwhile princely states. A visit to the Palace, the Anthropological Museum and some craft centers will be the attraction of the day. After lunch at a hotel, the Guests will visit a remote and un-spoilt tribal haat.. |
DAY 10 : ON TO CHITRAKOT |
After breakfast proceed to Chitrakot enroute visit Tribal villages and check into the Log house at the Waterfall site. Relax for the rest of the day. Overnight. |
DAY 11: IN AND AROUND AT CHITRAKOT |
After breakfast proceed to visit tribal villages and the weekly market. Evening watch the Gedi Dance at the resort performed by the Tribal people. |
DAY 12 : ON TO RAIPUR |
After a leisurely morning in and around the villages near the resort, the Guests will return to Raipur and enroute unch at Kanker Palace for yet another cozy and elaborate farewell Lunch comprising delectable local cuisine. Overnight at Raipur. |
DAY 13 |
Departure transfer to the airport for onward journey. . |
